Chaxi is a technology platform that connects passengers with drivers for transportation services. We provide:

  • A mobile application for requesting and providing rides

  • Notification services for ride updates and safety alerts

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

3.2 User Types

  • Passengers: Users who request rides through the platform

5. Location Services and Privacy

5.1 Location Data

  • The App requires access to your device's location services
  • Location data is used for ride matching, navigation, and safety features
  • You can control location sharing settings through your device and app preferences
  • Real-time location sharing with family members requires explicit opt-in

5.2 Family Safety Features

  • Family safety features are optional and require mutual consent
  • Location sharing with family members is limited to active ride periods
  • You can revoke family member access at any time
  • We are not responsible for family disputes arising from location sharing

6. Payment and Fees

6.1 Ride Payments

  • Drivers and passengers are responsible for resolving payment disputes
  • We may charge platform fees as disclosed in the app

7. Safety and Conduct

  • Users are responsible for their own safety during rides

  • Drivers must maintain their vehicles in safe, roadworthy condition
  • All users must comply with applicable traffic laws and regulations

7.2 Prohibited Conduct

  • Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or other protected characteristics
  • Threatening, violent, or inappropriate behavior
  • Damage to vehicles or property
  • Operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol

8. Intellectual Property

  • Chaxi and all related trademarks, logos, and content are our property
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property
  • You grant us a license to use content you provide through the service

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

9.1 Service Disclaimer

Chaxi is a technology platform that connects drivers and passengers. We do not provide transportation services directly. We are not responsible for:

  • The conduct of drivers or passengers
  • The condition or safety of vehicles
  • Compliance with local transportation regulations
  • Disputes between users
  • Accidents, injuries, or property damage during rides

9.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the incident
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • We provide the service "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We do not guarantee service availability or functionality
